In the opening game, the Lady Plainsmen's offense erupted early and never slowed down. Frank Phillips piled up runs throughout the game, showcasing patience at the plate and aggressive baserunning. The lineup produced hit after hit, overwhelming Otero's pitching and building a massive lead on the way to a 36–2 win.
