FPC Rodeos Avery Kinkelaar finishes 3rd in the Women's All-Around race at the Clarendon College Rodeo!
FPC Rodeo Freshman Avery Kinkelaar from Assaria, KS had a great showing at the Clarendon College Rodeo, qualifying for the Top 10 Championship Round in both the Barrel-racing & the Goat-tying. True to her all-around talent the Freshman from Kansas qualified for the Breakaway Top 10 during the Frank Phillips College Rodeo in October, followed by another Top 10 Finish in the Goat-tying during the Texas Tech College Rodeo! Her combined efforts make her a contender for the year-end Women's All-Around race that will conclude at the end of April 2026. The Top 2 All-Around Champions in the Caprock Region will represent their institutions at the College National Finals Rodeo in June.
Joining her in the Clarendon College Rodeo Championship Round were four additional FPC Freshman.
Kendra Deskovick took a commanding lead in the Women's event of Goat-tying turning in a time of 6.3 for the fastest time out of 42 contestant entries! Currently the Freshman from California sits #3 in the Caprock Region overall standings and is the highest ranked Freshman in the region. The Top 3 point earners in each event will earn the honor of representing their teams at the College National Finals in June.
FPC Freshman Team-ropers Amy Hall from Freetown, IN & BZ Tipton from Middleton, ID qualified for the Top 10 Championship Round & finished 9th in the final aggregate.
FPC Freshman & Reserve National High School Champion Bullrider Wyatt Bowman from Plains City, UT qualified for the Top 10 Championship Round with a qualified ride & started a great ride just bucking off short of the 8 second buzzer during the Clarendon College Rodeo Saturday night Championship Round.
Several additional FPC Rodeo athletes had great showings placing within the Top 20 of their respective events. Freshman Tie-down roper Ryder Jamieson from Canfield, Ontario Canada finished 13th. Freshman Breakaway-ropers Kendra Deskovick & Amy Hall turned in times of 3.3 seconds to place 20th out of 100 contestant entries!
FPC Rodeo will start back during the Spring Season at the Odessa College Rodeo late February!
