FPCs Kendra Deskovick turns in the fastest time of the weekend!
FPC Rodeo continued their Spring Season at the Howard College Rodeo in Big Spring, TX April 9-11.
Freshman Kendra Deskovick from Ramona, CA turned in the fastest time of the weekend in the women's event of goat-tying! Her time of 8.6 on a 190' score earned her Top honors going into the Saturday afternoon Championship Round! During the Short Round her horse "Dirty" crossed the plane of the rope resulting in a ten second penalty and a 9th place finish in the aggregate.
FPCs Avery Kinkelaar also had a great showing in the ladies event of Goat-tying. The Freshman from Assaria, KS placed 5th in the Long Round, 3rd in the Short Round, and 3rd in the aggregate!
Freshman Bullrider Blake Wilson from Plains, TX made the 8 second whistle qualifying for the Top 10 Championship Short Round with a 74 point ride!
Several other FPC athletes had great showings, but fell just short of the Top 10 Championship Short Round!
Freshman Ryder Jamieson Canfield, Ontario placed 13th in the team-roping.
Freshman Addison Pecha from Enid, OK placed 12th in the Goat-tying.
Freshman Cecilia Woodworth from Adel, OR placed 14th in the Goat-tying.
Shoutout to alumni Kaylee Stroud from Lubbock, TX currently attending Texas Tech for winning the women's event of Goat-tying.
FPC Rodeo travels to Hereford, TX next for the West Texas A&M College Rodeo April 16-18!
