FPC Rodeo Finishes 3rd at West Texas A&M

FPC Rodeo Womens Team finishes 3rd at the West Texas A&M College Rodeo!

FPC Rodeo Women's Team had a great showing at the West Texas A&M College Rodeo hosted in Hereford, TX. FPC Freshman Gracie Anderson, Addison Pecha, and Amy Hall were the high-point earners of the weekend. These three young women each persevered through major horse injuries the weeks leading up to the WTAMU College Rodeo, making this win a bittersweet celebration of success!

FPC Freshman Gracie Anderson from Leonard, TX won the Long Round in the Women's event of goat-tying with a 7.2 second run leading the round by .3! In the Saturday night championship round she once again brought the heat, finishing 3rd in the round, and winning the aggregate to take home the championship buckle!

FPC Freshman Addison Pecha borrowed a horse for the womens event of goat-tying after her mare sustained injuries enroute to the Howard College Rodeo. The young Freshman from Enid, OK borrowed team-mate Avery Kinkelaars goat horse, to finish 2nd in the Championship Round and 3rd in the aggregate!

FPC Freshman Amy Hall from Freetown, IN persevered through some major trials this week, to finish 5th in the Short Round and average within the Goat-tying!

FPC Freshman Olivia Jamieson from Canfield, Ontario Canada had a great showing in two events placing 11th in the womens events of Breakaway and Goat-Tying!

Overall the FPC Womens Team finished 3rd for the weekend!

The FPC Rodeo mens team had a great weekend of rodeo competition with our mens team placing at two separate events! FPC Freshman Blake Wilson from Plains, TX won the United Professional Rodeo in Paducah, TX with a 79 point ride! Incoming FPC Plainsmen Elijah Zimbelman from Keenesburg, CO won the Bull-riding at the United Professional Rodeo in Childress, TX!

Shoutout to the following FPC Alumni who finished strong this weekend in the Lonestar and Southern Region!

FPC Graduate Jenna Fulton, currently attending graduate school at Tarleton State, won the year end womens event of Breakaway-roping! She is the Lonestar Region Champion Breakaway roper and will attend the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, WY!

FPC Graduate Jacee Graff, currently attending nursing school at Weatherford College, won Reserve Champion Goat-tyer in the Lonestar Region and will also be competing at the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, WY!

FPC alumni Alyssa Clark, currently attending Sam Houston State University, finished 4th in the womens event of Goat-tying, placing one hole out of attending the College National Finals Rodeo!

FPC Rodeo will travel to South Plains College in Levelland, TX to compete at the last college rodeo of the season April 23-25! Currently FPC Rodeo athletes Addison Pecha and Kendra Deskovick are contenders to represent the Caprock Region at the College National Finals Rodeo hosted in June!
